I think that had a lot to do with 16th june being the date by which the agreement was to be finalised. There was no news from THR on the 16th of June, so the market correctly assumed that there was a problem with the agreement, and cancellation of the agreement was announced later in June.
From memory THR released a statement to the ASX explaining the drop in price post 16th June, stating something to this effect.
