The way i look at it on my long term plays:

If i am to chase the ups and downs to turn over Short Term profits. The trade needs to be pretty much gaurenteed better than the CGT tax that will be voided.

When you start multiplying your current holdings x 1, 2, 3 even 5. That 50% CGT discount is massive!!!!

Prior to any sell decision, i run potential upside/downside figures and 80% of the time i hold.

Truth is i know i cant beat the market, ind i try to void tading against the market.

The sit & hold strategy seems worked well since i bought into AVZ at 0.08c.
