Hey ww, perhaps the future will show if Glynn leaves a legacy behind or not, with a languishing sp and history of ‘share grabs’, projects/deals that remain up in the air, it is perhaps a little tarnished.
Imo, we are not a ‘big boy’, P&G and it’s peers have the upper hand every time, reality perhaps is that Obj will take what it can get, perhaps gaining some amount of clout in the future if it’s tech/IP comes thru’.
Glynns replacement will have a massive job (would love to see a female in the job) ahead of them, remember too you can only work with the clay you have, the IP/tech is either there and been unsuccessfully commercialised or the IP/ tech is not all it has been hoped for.
One concern I have is this, yes he is 65 and entitled to retire, that said, IF the future is here, BG/SH deals etc then he will be leaving a lot of money ‘on the table’ (milestone payments), more importantly the ‘prestige’ of helping engineered it all.
If nothing to happen this year, ordinary revenue figures, no signing up of new deals, languishing sp then, imo, he has picked a great time to retire.
