Technically it was a correction as it fell over the 10%from the high a week ago to its lowest point on Tuesday.
I wouldn't count the chickens yet, is it just a bit of bargin hunting and the selling starts again tonight or in a day or two. Many traders will be looking at making good money on the short term volatility and this will drive the swings, that along with automated trading.
History tells us that these market phases don't just go straight down and then straight back up.
