And in a stroke of outrageous fortune, along I come - an experienced structural gold geologist!

These results are typical of a high-grade vein Au system - and probably a pretty decent one at that. These type of deposits (think Northern Star Kundana operations) always have a poddy/nuggety nature, and will never have the "greater width" some here are looking for. They are essentially all about grade.

The long-section view is key to quickly understanding potential. This is a side on view to a single planar surface (the vein), with dots representing points where a drill hole has pierced the vein. From that you can pretty quickly get a feel for length and depth thus far defined.

The other variable to generate a volume is width. Some have mentioned true width - switched on, pats on the back! You can kind of guess true width by looking at the core photo, and the angle at which the hole hits the vein and laminations (stripes for the laypeople). I think true widths would be about 50-60% of reported width on that basis.

Next variable - density! Mostly quartz, so probably about 2.7 - easy!

Now multiply length x depth x width (all in metres) x 2.7 and you have tonnes.

Last variable...(drum roll)...grade, the yellow stuff! Multiple tonnes figure by what you reckon the grade might be (in grams, divided by 31 to make ounces).

Now you have a non-JORC compliant resource estimate. See what you get. For what its worth, I reckon there is an easy 300,000 high grade ounces there already. If they can figure out the plunge (high grade trend in plane of vein) they will add to that.

For the record, definitely not a holder, and not speculating on share price direction. Just a generous man, spreading the love of geology and dodgy resource estimates...
