Can I just jump into this thread as a vre holder.

I have not seen the article about bronzewing being a failed mine however I was living in Kalgoorlie at the time gutnick went bust.

There fore, I think you will find it was roughly in about 1999. Did you know the Palace hotel has a scroll on its verandah and I recall being in shock at the price as it was going down, at the time I was working in real estate, trying to explain to clients why they would lose about 50 grand on the sale of their home.

I guess what I am trying to say is that at that time the price of gold on that scroll was $250 US. Many mines were shutting down and many miners left town out of work. The town went very dismal. Coolgardie and Kambalda became like ghost towns again. Especially Coolgardie which lacked infrastructure anyway.

Yes, Bronzewing was a failed mine. But, it was for totally different reasons fuelled by the lack of pog.

Gutnick I think you will find was also in a lot of bother for other things. I havent studied the full picture here so dont ask for more information, I am just giving you another perspective.

Whew. Have a good day folks.

    Harlee
