zzzzzzzzzzzz
I have reread the Dec Quarterly again and my thoughts are as follows:
- The port as is should be the bottleneck @ 700K t/p/a
-Trucking should be the second bottleneck with 12 trucks + 1 spare
-road upgraded to 12 months a year road so thaw out in April should not be an issue (otherwise road would be
11 months/year road ! )
-December trucking rate @ 1600 t/p/d.( see Dec Qtr report)
Now let's assume that Jan -Feb-Mar is at the Dec rate :
-(90 days x 1600/day) & we have .......................144K ton @
-June Qtr (91 days at say 2000 t/d.......................182K ton........(improvement due to better weather) #
-Sept Qtr (92 days at say 2400/t/d.......................221 K ton.....(optimum good weather trucking)*
-coal at port 31st Dec............................................56K ton
Total sold & shipped for 2018............................603K ton (guesstimate)
Donate the 3K ton to the locals and there you have it.........600K ton
(All IMO of course, so do your own research/calcs before investing.)
@..................5.3 round trips per truck per day
#...................6.7 round trip per truck per day
*....................8 round trips per day per truck
IMO, the last 5 new trucks supplied last August should have had 3 axle tip dog trailers so that trailers can
be used in summer when traction is not an issue. This would lift the Sept Qtr trucking to the port by 160K ton
for an extra capital cost of approximately $600K. (Mr Little ex Toll Transport should be keenly aware of this)
There is no issue regarding engine power because at these trip times, the trucks will not likely hit top gear.
( speeds of 19-35 KPH.)
Is Peter underestimating?.............your call.
