Look at photos of Iraq , Iran and other middle eastern countries in the 70's - they were wearing western clothes
It is only since the rise of Islamic radicalism that they have forced females into wearing them
They are NOT a religious requirement as pointed out by a previous poster - they are plainly ignorant of their own history and religious needs - No Rhodes Scholars amongst this lot
