It seems the more we do things , the more we learn .

Bit like learning about gay people . Once we thought they were evil and associated with all things bad . Now we know that is not the case and many of them make a positive contribution to society .

It's all about the learning . It's called progress .

Many societies progressed from prosperity to obliteration from industry to debauchery

so progress or the change contained within such progress in of itself does not necessary equal to human flourishing.
