Yeah global dimming is very real!

Its basically particle emissions that is blocking out a proportion of the sun that previously entered the Earth thus keeping it colder to what it would be otherwise.

Aviation significantly contributes to particle emissions. Global dimming was only theory before Sept 11 and the following days after Sept 11 when there was no planes in the sky temperatures went up a average of a few degrees.

The major concern is particle emissions is getting addressed at a faster rate then carbon emissions resulting in theory accelerated global warming then previously modeled.
