Yeah, well, now that you mention Greenbushes, they DO have the size and the quality and plans looking to double output. However they're owned by Chinese and American interests and also have the GAM conflict. I'd much rather see an Australian owned hard rocker win out and I don't think BMW would want to have the possibility of conflict.
AJM or TAW would be too small.
KDR have the size and SQM expertise. Has their product been laboratory tested for quality? Does SQM have any experience in hard rock production? ... even at a pilot test level? BMW don't want open ended questions.
I recall Zigipop mentioning in December that PLS big knobs travelled to Germany then. It would be a MASSIVE coup if PLS secured BMW as an offtake/funding partner.
With the Chinese EV battery production market about to explode to 3 times that of the rest of the world producers combined, I would imagine Gangfeng sticking to supplying local Chinese battery manufacturers.
Of course, as a PLS shareholder I'm looking for reasons why we can get this. I mainly post to get my own thoughts straight however I greatly appreciate logical counterarguments.
