What I find interesting is how often the SA battery is being charged whilst the state is importing electricity from interstate, with Queensland being generally the largest supplier of excess electricity into the grid.
The other thing that frequently happens is that in NSW electricity is both being generated from hydro, and being used to pump hydro. Given pumped hydro is only about 80% efficient it seems a fruitless exercise.
