Your asking what experience SQM have in hard rock.
I can’t answer that for sure but what I can answer is PLS has zero experience in hard rock production and zero experience in the production of carbonate and hydroxide. If you can produce these brines and convert them to high grade 99.95%+ final products I don’t think it would be too technical for these guys to produce a 6% spodumene.

PLS has customers to satisfy already.
2mtpa sold out. 5mtpa how much left?
That’s already customers to satisfy with nothing as yet proven in the way of production on that scale. For me this discounts PLS as a runner with BMW.

They will in all likelihood choose Glencore for there cobalt.
The world leader in cobalt production.

For me it stands to reason they will choose KDR/SQM.
SQM the world leader in lithium, top 3 at worst.
Proven producers. Well financed for mine production and downstream and a full project with no offtakes currently. Large and Growing resource. Expected production 2022 which I’m sure can be expedited if BMW push them.

LAC already have a tie up with Gangfeng and Bangchak so they are not an option
Shouldn’t have to wait too long to find out anyway, Albemarle and Tianqi would be right up there as contenders too.
