    Your making the assumption I agree wholeheartedly with their predictions

    I'm OK with the idea that human activity causes the planet to heat up, you cant chop down billions of acres of forests and have no consequences. But by the same token the planet has mechanisms to subdue runaway heating effects, it would have to have these mechanisms or the planet would most likely by now not have the water and atmosphere to sustain life, as the climate has been through these major cycles many time before

    if the planet really does heat up and it starts having major and frequent storms, you can bet the greening of barren and dry areas will act as massive carbon sinks and the vast areas of land that are always under snow will as well

    Plain and simple planetary homeostasis
