Hi red. There was local talk that Port Alma was to be reopened to take bulk stuff, like coal and the acidic pyrite.
The whole project is taking so long, the original proponents will be in an aged care home; and the local enthusiasm for the project has faded a bit - not through opposition, but boredom.
I hope it comes off, as Mt Morgan is one of those rare projects where the mining will clean up the mine site wasteland and produce some low aisc oz.
