Let me dumb it down for you so you get my above points a bit better.

AV Jennings is a Big House Builder in Australia, and they make 30 million Net profit per year.

Stockland makes 600 million net Profit.

CBA bank makes 10 Billion net profit.

For every $30 that AV jennings makes, CBA Bank makes $10,000.

The Most money to be made from Buildings is in the Finance provided to them.

The Construction of a Development, the developer may seek to make 20 - 30% profit on total outlays including land Costs.

The amount paid to Bricklayers is about 2% of the Building cost, and about 1% of the Total Development Cost.

But as Ive mentioned earlier, the Banks providing Finance to a Building can make upto 1000 times more profit over the life of that Building, compared to what the Builders made from Building it.
