The ALP in government was remiss not to tackle corporate tax avoidance harder.
That said though it was not such a big public issue a few years ago.
It should have been, but all the details of just how much they are avoiding has only come out into the public arena recently.
Next election the public will be right behind any tightening of our taxation laws which targets multinationals and high net worth individuals.
Also negative gearing, capital gains tax concessions and super tax concessions are likely to be cut back or abolished.
