I have been watching Mt Cobalt for many years, back when Nick Mathers called it AusNiCo. I am told that the area is very hilly and very difficult to get drill rigs into. Peter Williams had a chunk of ore at a conference last year that had good grades. The top bit of ore is oxidised with cobalt sulphides below.
Going to be a challenge to process for sure. Hopefully the metallurgist they quote is a creative person, as it may need an out of the box solution. Would be good if they can recover the manganese in a saleable form too.
A challenge to drill out into a resource also. But great grades.
I think the cobalt project will be a slow burn. The tin assets are more straightforward so this might happen first.
