Not only that...in our darkness we have mastered the art of mind control; so much so that we have literally hypnotized 50 million people into fleeing their utopias for American soil! We make them stay by bribing them with Macca's. They become too fat to walk and develop Stockholm Syndrome. Apparently they phone home because the applicant list keeps on growing. Now I am not one of those who think we need a giant wall to keep them all out. It goes against our grain, you see. We spent the last century sacrificing generations of young men breaking down walls like those of the death camps constructed when Europe decided to commit suicide in WWII. Then we sacrificed billions of dollars to rebuild Europe, align NATO and created the United Nations. The two great powers that sought to destroy Europe and the US, by the way, are now some of the most powerful economic engines on earth. They seem rather content as there has been no world war since.
America did not choose to be a unipolar power - it happened upon us. It happened because the other great power of the last century - the Soviet Union – embraced a totalitarian scheme that killed more dissidents than any other in history.
America is not an empire. As someone more eloquent than I said years ago, we are a commercial republic. We trade for our food; we do not send the Marines to get it. We have left our flag nowhere. In the years shortly before WWII, America had the 17th largest army in the world. But the horrors of that war taught us that isolationism was not going to help anyone. We have no need to consume land like Ancient Rome, Germany, Russia, France and England did before their remnants and victims fled to our shores to seek relief from oppression.
I have no esoteric videos to prove all this, of course. You'll just have to take my word for it.
