You have to be on drugs to suggest that A2M has underperformed. This is no two bit speckie you’re talking about, we’re a multi-billion dollar Company, now in the ASX100. How many ASX100 Companies do you know that have tripled their share price in a yr.? Can you name them? Please? I cannot believe that any shareholder would be dissatisfied with this magnificent Company, or the manner in which it has been managed.
Before I put you on ignore for being a total bullshit artist or perhaps mentally deranged, i’ll provide you with some numbers which may change your perspective of this Company’s performance in recent years:
1) Feb. 16 2016 we closed at $2.31
Feb. 16 2017 we closed at $8.59
Increase in share price in 1 year is $6.28
6.28/2.31 x 100 = 272% profit (rate of return)
Another way to look at it is that your initial investment has gone up 3.72 times from $2.31 to $8.59.
Now, pointless as this may be, I will attempt to give you an idea the gravity of these numbers...
If you had $100,000 and invested it in a portfolio that went up by a factor of 3.72 per annum, then held on for as little as 5 years, how much do you reckon you’d collect at the end?
100,000 x 3.72 x 3.72 x 3.72 x 3.72 x 3.72 (In other words 100,000 x 3.72 to the power of 5)
Equals....
Wait for it....
$71 million and some change!!!!!
It’s better we don’t do the calculation over 10 years, it may make you vomit.
Let’s say you don’t have a hundred grand to play with. Say you had a starting portfolio of $20k and multiplied your money by a factor of 3.72 for just 3 years. You end up with a million dollars plus.
Now we can look at A2M’s return over different time periods but it will essentially tell the same story - this has been one hell of an investment by any standard. Most likely a once in a lifetime opportunity for many investors.
So I ask you this, seeing as you think there are so many Companies that have done better. How many Investors - retail, wholesale, amateur or professional - can put together a portfolio of Companies that can beat the performance of A2M? The answer is... no one. Sure there are some individual smaller Companies that have done well, indeed better than A2M relatively speaking BUT for every one of those smaller Companies there are a thousand that fail. All that doesn’t change the fact that A2M has outperformed the market by a country mile.
Shame on you.
