I think i understand why they are of that view so I patiently wait for the offtake developments which I'm told are underway this week. So keeping fingers crossed. Please DYOR though and discussions doesnt mean a deal is in the works !

They know the spot sales are not going to do anything except provide some spare cash to push the can down the road a little further so they keep concentrating on getting the big fish. The local customer is not willing to pay the spot price but there are plenty of overseas customers (Itochu, Nippon, JFB) who are willing to buy the product off them at spot price.

really hope they do get this offtake.
