Winfield, I am also in Brisbane, and I have seen a couple of Tesla Model S. None whatsoever of Model X (the SUV), and certainly no Model 3 thingys. Indeed, they have only just got onto the general market in the USA.

The Priuses (and Camry Hybrids) are mainly taxis - the outgoing Gillard Govt from some years ago funneled enormous amounts of taxpayer dollars into the Toyota plant at Altona, just to (a) ensure the continuity of production at Altona, and (b) to ensure that taxi OWNERS (not drivers!) profited from the economies of hybrids.

Of course, we all know that Toyota shut down the operation at Altona last year.

Just think - when was the last time you saw a red "LPG" diamond on the rear number plate of a taxi?
