To be a bit clearer on my thinking here: nothing here makes me doubt their ability to pay out a decent quarterly dividend based on trading profits, and nothing here makes me doubt that they can make a buck with their wheeling and dealing. As ever, it comes down to how much transparency you want, and what kind of investments you can stomach, and that's for each holder to decide. The response to the ASX query was fine, it was the half-yearly report that raised my ire, because that's when all of this stuff came out for the first time. Presumably the ASX only issued the query because somebody asked them to... and given the query wasn't even factually correct, I assume it was raised by someone of 10foot's calibre.
