Ok. I'll reword it

One of the admins (madmin maybe) posted a comment that Hot Copper had been contacted by CMY lawyers and to be careful of our content.

Not long after a whole thread was moderated - not just the few unsavoury posts.

It could have been because the content that had become libellous. It could have been because of a direct threat from CMY. Maybe both or something completely different. Only the HC crew know.
