Looks like I am facing another big loss after recently getting a kick in the guts with STL.

I dodged a big bullet with STL, and at the peak had over 5m shares, but in both cases what made me sell is talking to management . On the small end of town it’s invaluable as you get a lot of clowns running the show . STL was a case in point where the MD was too much of a salesman. I actually referred him to boutique broker I know to get the stock covered and the analysts feedback was you couldn’t put him up to professional investors . These conversations have also allowed me to make some really good decisions such a investing heavily in DLS ( brad Lingo was a gun ) and Mike Scott of COE who made it clear that a potential large oil find had a lot of derisking to be proven up .
Even when you do speak to them , you can believe them initially as is the case in point here , but you get to see the BS as you ask harder and harder questions and they get more irritable or dismissive. We all make mistakes and part of investing is learning from them. I have cetairnly learned from this experience and that is to not go hard in a little stock with questionable management
