Don't ignore the royalties the Qld Govt gets from these mines, CM reported that Qld will suffer an amount of rayalties far in excess of what the State budgeted for, so regardless of the P&L statements and possible or lack of income tax these companies may pay, they are all paying royalties and the employees PAYG tax to the state and fed govts.
The rail line should , IMO, be a shared facility if all companies using it pay back the loan, however if its only Adani , then they have a claim to exclusive use, the other items mentioned are mainly state taxes .
Joh , in his day, wasn't exactly silly when he loaded the mining companies up with rail freight royalties, he knew that the books can be made to look however they want , however you can't hide the coal trains and tonnages shipped.
