Hypothesis: buy through to options being in the money. It isn't that significant an ask.
Rationale: 9-10 AQDOA holders have a significant AQDOA holdings of 2Mn+. JPM Nominees has 10.2Mn; Jetosea Pty Ltd ~5mN, Buckland Capital 4Mn, Exploration Capital Partners 3.5Mn, BNP Paribas Nominees 2.5Mn as examples.
Chi-X + ASX trail to 3.5c is ~$70k or ~3Mn shares (see below). No asks on Chi-X for some reason - despite trades today.
If one of the large holders wanted to really increase their stake over a very short time period by cashing in in the money opportunities, this would be a finger-licking-good way. Heck, if I had 4-10Mn I'd be getting excited at the thought at increasing % held.
