You need to look at the daily percentage of shares shorted on shortman which is the last column . For instance, on some days the percentage of shares shorted from the total volume of sales could be as low as 8%, on other days such as Tuesday, it can be as high as 45%. If approximately half of all trades in a day are shorts, it is going to influence the daily share price much more than if only 8%.
This is a different percentage than the number of shares shorted out of all shares on issue.
