Research into lithium-ion cell improvement continues. Unfortunately there's plenty of BS here too because real gains in capacity, safety and charge time are worth $big.
Here's something recent on solid state lithium - no idea if there's real progress here but names including Samsung and Dyson have reportedly bought in.
Interesting sidebit: Ionic's website states that their polymer electrolyte works well with low-or-no cobalt cathode materials.
