As usual, Fox's bowtie boy Carlson is 180 degrees away from the truth.
The son, who is a good kid, wanted to ask a question about armed guards at schools. Fair call. CNN agreed. The dad then wrote a long speech for the son about firearms. Then the dad bitched to Fox because CNN wouldn't let his son read the dad's script. Then the dad edited his emails to make it sound as though CNN was getting his son to read a script, rather than the dad was getting the son to read his script.
Finally the dad admitted he'd made up the whole incident. But of course Fox viewers will never realise that.
The younger Haab, a 17-year-old Army Junior ROTC member, had originally told media that he had desired to ask questions about the possibility of using veterans as armed guards in school—which happens to be one of President Donald Trump’s favored solutions—but that CNN had demanded he ask scripted prompts instead. Yet a later report in Business Insider alleged that Colton Haab had initially agreed to ask only one short question at the forum, but then the family later requested to deliver a “lengthy speech” on firearms. The network said the revised submission was “way too long,” and requested that he ask the original, shorter question. https://gizmodo.com/parkland-shooting-survivors-dad-admits-editing-cnn-emai-1823379929?IR=T
