Before I get started, I would like to acknowledge that there are probably plenty of holes in what I have written due to my limited knowledge in these types deals. I write this as I feel a distraction from all the BS that has been written of late might be appreciated.

I would like to emphasise that these are my thoughts and any criticism is welcome, but please in a thought provoking and constructive manner.

What we know is that SK Innovation signed a binding offtake agreement worth reportedly $5 billion.
So why don't SKI offer $2 per share which equates to just over $5 billion and buy AUZ.

SKI would have to finance the building and operation of the mine but that would be recouped as they would now have access to all of the ore at Sconi with estimates trebling the current resource size. And the scandium is a bonus. They would also be protected by future price volatility of cobalt and nickel.

Flemington and Thackaringa are unknown and SKI will have to do a lot of work and spend a lot of money to get to production, so maybe add another $1 to the share price for the future potential.
That would mean $3 per share would cost SKI about $7.8 billion dollars to buy AUZ. SKI would have secured their EV battery materials needs, and would also become a major supplier to other companies looking to secure long term supplies of these materials. SKI can take all the risks and rewards and AUZ shareholders can take $3 per share.
