Hmm ...well I don't think much of that piece.

It's just not factually true that : "The stoush represented the re-emergence of a board dispute a little over a year ago that led to Mr Grammer and Mr Fitton retiring and the appointment of Mr Harper and Mr Sproule."

McKinnon is plainly confused.

It is true that there was a stoush about 18 months ago when a group of opportunistic raiders had a tilt at KIN.

But that had nothing at all to do with the subsequent orderly and dignified rotation of Board members, which was simply an acknowledgement of the Company's forward evolution toward production.


These sorts of clangers make you wonder about stories where you can't personally fact-check - just how often factual errors or misunderstandings of events are incorporated into press pieces.

What happens in the boardroom at KIN is hardly of world-shattering consequence, but it does throw into doubt one's world-view in general when dodgy press material is a primary source for the writers of history.
