It's seems to me that when the universities are claiming they will need to take on more overseas students as a result of Ms Gillards plans that she is solely targeting silver spooned Aussie students.
Not unless of course I missed the bit that involves creating new university places?? but I don't think that's on her agenda ATM.
So can you confirm to us readers on HC that of the 11000 paid up front places that are to be removed will be made available by universities to Australian citizens on a HECS basis... or will some of these be removed to cater for up front paying international students to help recover the monies lost by her policy.
Now if this goes ahead with the international student situation not adjusted there is every chance to my mind that her motives are not for the benefit of the system but rather for political purposes only.
