Not worked for an employer for 33 years.
I woke up one morning in late November or early December and saw an article on Brandon & the BIG success. To be honest I went into shock.
Off and on for 20 years I tried doing different versions of what BIG are doing and found the task an impossible mountain to climb.
I have tried making videos for SMEs and advertising them via community digital signage networks.
I have built apps PubPal, ClubPal and NoQ (takeaway food) but failed to get the traction to justify the effort and ongoing investment.
The hardest part, by a country mile, was to convince SME’s to invest in a promise - because without an established network that is all it is - a promise. For 5 years BIG have been selling a promise and for 4 of those years they struggled. And then they got a loan!!
For 5 years the way below par BIG app and website has just been a promise with almost zero engagement.
After year one why would an SME pay anything to BIG other than a $99 a year listing fee. Remember when Yellow Pages had single line free listings and paid Display advertising???
Trade again or not I am still in shock.
