    In the case of CVI, recent share price jumps occurred on announcements. Unless those announcements are subsequently retracted, or sentiment dives due to bad news, why would a 'gap' need to be filled ?

    Surely any concern about whether a gap exists or will be closed is purely psychological with no apparent logical basis...please correct me if I'm wrong however.
