Democracy, as practised in this country and in other parts of the world, though not perfect, allows you to critise the government (without being thrown into jail), it allows you to access information freely (for the most parts)' etc etc. I think you might have been thinking of utopia when you said it is "unworkable in practice".

I have not used the word "sheep" (I think somebody else used it), but nevertheless a dictatorship as a political platform is not going to take root in this country. That "bebevolent dictatorship" that you mentioned in your earlier post probably lives only in your head, lol
Try telling that to your employees, that your are a benevolent dictator, you will be surprised of the reactions you will get, hehehe.
