I was looking at the details for Olympic Dam for comparison at the following website ... http://www.uic.com.au/emine.htm

Olympic Dam's total reserves are 2.244 million tonnes U3O8. If my calculations are correct, this equates to 2,244 million kg, which is 4,936.8 million lbs. Thats a lot. However, perhaps more interesting is the fact that the massive Olympic Dam deposit is underground, some 350 metres below the surface, and is the largest known uranium orebody in the world. Approximately 41% of the uranium mined at present comes from underground mining such as that at Olympic Dam.

As has been discussed by other posters, it could be possible for Bannerman to open pit mine down to 400 metres, then when the strip ratio becomes too high, change to underground mining. Perhaps Bannerman's total uranium reserve could exceed Olympic Dam's 4.9 billion pounds, and with higher grades and cheaper mining costs ... imagine.
