MULTI-PROJECT oil explorers/resource companies with multiple risk issues feeding into share the price, offer "vast kilometers" of "legal grey" under cover of which a director can legally/safely sell off if they are 'down' on a stock.

    in this context:

    - any "cherry-picking" and/or relying exclusively on narrow (even if good) reasons why a director would not sell at a particular point in time MAY be self-serving; and

    - any "conspiracy analysis" may be far too blunt an instrument to make sense of what has happened.

presumably the best analysis takes account of all the facts. arguments have been put (including by me - see earlier post) along the lines of "the directors reason for selling was not'x' or was not'y' because that would be illegal

......however, this DOES NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION - why so many directors selling so much all at once after all these years?

what is the answer to that question?

perhaps the most benign/least negative explanation is director recognition that ROC is no superstar, and that our friends who know the stock best want better returns on the money they have taken out. not exactly a glowing positive for ROC, but at the same time, no exactly a reason to run for the doors.

obviously some stock will be more susceptible to bad market sentiment on director sales than others. any views on whether not ROC is susceptible, and if so, how long sentiment may be effected for?

    cheers
