Mate it is all about personal responsibility - end of story it is irrelevant what others have done in this case. If you don't understand what you are up for when you borrow then you shouldn't be borrowing full stop. Too much these days is blame everyone else for things that go wrong in life. It doesn't matter if others fluffed up the paperwork to get you that loan - you got the loan you wanted and you need to ensure you can meet your obligations BEFORE you take up the offer.
