The beta is likely a method of ensuring both CryptoKitties and the larger Ethereum market don't grind to a holt. You can't just open such a volatile and sensitive market up to billions of new players and hope for the best. This 5000 player beta will allow the Ethereum and CryptoKitties markets to steadily adjust to the new investments and new money being poured in. Then they can scale it to the larger Asian population as they make adjustments to infastructure and the market gets accustomed to the new buyers.

I was crunching some more numbers last night and while you can never predict the market and it can sometimes make no sense, I could easily see through my research last night, that AB1 could/should be valued at $1 per share if this quarterly is as I expect.
