this argument is like saying anyone can make an ad for TV or anyone can make a website or anyone can take photos of a wedding and so on. there is a difference between doing something and doing it professionally. big is doing skits on businesses and shows like wayfarer in much the same manner as a show like Getaway on nine. difference being they have lower overheads and are using a mass filming approach and financing to lower the barrier of entry for a business into the professional video advertising space. the video then being further pushed in big programs and bigs app etc is just a bonus really. you need to look at their offering more broadly for what it is.
I think it is fine to levy some criticism at management for not disclosing all info to investors but criticism of the product itself is misguided imo
