Knowing how much AGY shareholders value the TRUTH and abhor misinformation regarding their investment, I thought I needed to respond to the erroneous statement made by EP247 in response to Hahahaha. I realise Hahaha has been over at AGY on occasions stirring the pot unnecessarily, but I feel I need to correct the above statement as I dont appreciate wild speculation.

There has been no government announcement indicating that over half of LPI's Maricunga properties will be subjected to a 40% royalty. The Maricunga project joint venture OWNS all its properties outright and given the government has no ownership rights, it has no right to levy a 'super royalty'. A standard royalty will apply in due course.

Comments made by the outgoing Chilean Mines Minister this week - his last day on the job is in two days time - were the last throws of a left wing government trying to prop up its flagging Codelco tender in the Maricunga Salar. As of next Sunday, a new pro foreign investment centre-right government will be running the country and Australia is about to sign the Trans Pacific Partnership with 10 other countries including Chile.

Any criticism is valid, as long as it is backed by facts. I wish you well.
