The senate has now passed a new energy bill with a mandate specifically for biodiesel...starting at 500m gallons in 2009 and ramping up to a billion gallons by 2012. This will put a minimum consumption under the biodiesel market.

In addition the automobile industry is being offered tax credits for making vehicles using biodiesel.

Peter claimed that the demand for biodiesel in the us is bottomless. Aae's new technology also makes biodiesel for around 30c cheaper than their competitors.

Aae is coming on line at just the right time in the us with one of the largest plants in the country. All the boxes are ticked.....but the market here in Australia has a bad taste in it's mouth due to local conditions for biodiesel with so many plants having to close down and lots of investors losing their money....
