cvn - oiler - good recent strike rate with drilling programme including largest bopd on mainland thailand - joint venture with pan orient - biggest issue looks like getting the oil out (not a bad problem to have)

nms - servicing the oil industry - has patented underwater wedling technology but now better marketed than a couple of years ago - interesting growth story and announced spp at 95c on friday but still trading at 1.15 - only have to be record holder by 8 jan i think - macquarie bank have approx 40% stake - should be 'recession' proof as someone still needs to fix up katrina's damage in gulf of mexico (as an example)

wds - walter diversified - bit out of left field - pipeline manufacture and recently announced contracts in dubai - pretty illiquid but earnings growth should be good - specialised industry
