So they have reduced the electrolysis "overpotentials >250 mV to deliver a catalytic current density (j) of 10 mA cm−2 to only 180 mV".
Does not state how much that reduces the losses, i.e. translates to increased efficiency. It does not reduce the 141MJ or so of energy required to split each kg of H2.
Bottom line: there's an efficiency gain and potentially a cheaper electrode catalyst.
Good for some applications, but dont see how that impacts HZR.
