I would argue that your claim of the correlation between resource spec with the DOW is on pretty thin evidence.

We are 8 years into a 20 year Kondratiev / Schumpeterian uptrend in commodities.

What happens in a K Wave commodity trend is that a) the new economy transitons to leadership eg Asia b)the older leadership economy recedes or collapses eg USA

Between 1900-20 the London stock index collapsed, during that period commodites exploded, the US economy transitioned to leadership. The new economy sits on the chest of the older economy by bidding up commodity prices. One economy grows at the cost of the other.

I know I know folks say we cant survive without the consumption of the US but that call is not historically supported.

3B Asians want to live like the folk in the west our resource supply infrastructure is built for a world that didnt incldue these folk.

You have to look at the global Macro picture and be guided by history you cant get skittish because because your looking for economic leadership from the past instead of the future.
