Hi cheapy. TRS is coming out of the All Ordinaries index not the ASX 300. The All Ordinaries index has the 500 biggest ASX stocks and is only changed once a year. This Article says it is a quarterly rebalance but it is only some of the other indices that change quarterly.

If you click on the Market cap statement it shows all the shares from the smallest market cap to the biggest. When I did that I found that TRS is the 61st smallest in that list but at its current price it is even stronger that that. In this latest article the 45 smallest stocks are getting chucked out so it seems crazy that TRS is one of them. TRS was slightly higher in price a year ago but it fell down to $3.20 at one stage after that and yesterday it was $7.74. It has fallen quite a bit today and I guess it is because of this crazy announcement

You are quite correct, my post should read All Ordinaries (XAO). Thanks for the info. Is there similar lists for the sector indices?
