Ok as we can't compare RIV and CDS today. We can go back 12 months and see what RIV was doing to get some indication of the where CDS stands.

Sydney - Tuesday - August 29: (RWE Australian Business News) -
Riversdale Mining Ltd (ASX: RIV) has announced a Mineral Resources
update today for its principal coal asset, Zululand Anthracite Colliery
(ZAC) (RIV 74%), located in the northern Kwazulu-Natal province of South
Africa.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mr Michael O'Keeffe said
that exploration success and significant mine development over the past
quarter had increased in situ Mineral Resources to 47.5 million tonnes
from 20.1 million tonnes previously reported.
This potentially extends the life of mine to 17 years at current
production levels.
The Company purchased the mine in January 2005 with a three year
mine life.
They went from a resource of 20.1Mt to 47.5Mt.
Now here's the interesting part. At the time RIV was $1. market cap would have roughly been $177m.
Now CDS reported 415Mt and have a fully diluted market cap of 71.5m
Yes it looks very weird indeed. CDS have reported a resource almost 9 times the size (6 times to CDS) but have a market cap that is 2.5 times smaller
ONE MORE TIME
CDS resource 6 times larger and market cap 2.5 times cheaper when comparing to RIV on 29/08/06, with CDS resource to be upgraded considerably very soon
No wonder someone want to buy 5m shares at 10c
Please correct me if I have missed something
