ANSWERS FROM QBL MANAGEMENT

Sholom has been mostly unavailable to answer our questions this week but I have been getting some help with a few inquiries by other Senior Management.
Personal Comment
I would like to address one question that has been recurring through the week on many of the SM platforms, in particular, to do with the Waltanna crop tonnage and yields. In speaking with Andrew he informed me that with seed crops, in general, it is not simply a matter of weighing the harvested raw plant matter straight out of the combine harvester when it comes to seed crops for human consumption as compared to stock feed crops for animal consumption.
Andrew told me that we must keep in mind that these harvests are still considered trial crops with the legalization of hemp for human consumption only coming last November. They go through a series of processes, including pest and weed filtration to arrive at an eventual harvested weight to determine crop yield.
MCL wants to be the "John West" of 100% Australian grown hemp food seed to make sure the quality it produces to go to the plate, is the best in Australia. I have personally tried their products and I know the seed is of good quality. (In case I get asked a question about how do I know about the quality..I have studied Nutrition and have a family farming background).
Figures on processed tonnage will be known after all the crops are harvested. These are very early days and that is why MCL supplied the photos and Video to show shareholders/investors/interested parties that MCL was indeed committed to this project and look forward to the return from multiple crops through 2018.

Q: When did QBL visit the Waltanna farms and were the recent photos from that visit?
A: MCL management visited the Waltanna Farm complex on the 27th of February. Yes, the recent photos were taken from our visit. They show both monoecious and dioecious plants in different planting stages; the trial crops were planted at different times.
Q: How many ha's are presently assigned to the MCL Hemp Food Seed crops?
A: We're currently at the point of planting more dioecious varieties, while at the same time we're starting to harvest our monoecious varieties. Those crops ready for harvest are looking good. Regarding the exact crop size (ha's), we are very careful about mentioning ha size as this is a very highly regulated industry that requires licensing and biosecurity.

(Guys...Please note for those who might feel this question is being avoided: Biosecurity and licensing means exactly what it says. The NSW and Federal Government's Department of Primary Industry will confirm this)
Q: Can you comment on the quality of the plant, leaf size, stalk health etc?
A: I was very impressed by what our farmers have achieved. This is the first time they've done full broadacre cropping and each has commented on how they will do it better next time.
The appearance of the crops looked absolutely great, very recognizable and healthy.
Q: From your inspection of the crops do you believe it will produce a good yield of Hemp Seed once harvested?
A: Generally yes, we still have to monitor for insect pests closer to harvest, but these are normal for similar crops.
