i try to be kind to you but statements such as "we were holding all the cards" make kindness difficult. do you have any intelligent grasp of economics & finance? why would it be good for Tanzania to do something as ridiculous, stupid & economically catastrophic as @kingofhell infers, namely, to only allow upstream graphite processing at the MNS SEZ?

there is nothing much in the announcement for Tanzania, apart from attracting industry & skills to Tanzania. the tax exemptions appears to be something from a past era & is not anything beneficial or necessary

placing the tax-exempt concentrate into the SEZ creates a precedent. companies will pay lobbyists to lobby the govt about this if it becomes too unfair

with SYR probably selling concentrate for $800 per tonne, the MNS mine might make $200 margin at most for the 16% free-carried interest & corporate tax, which is nothing much


i still have a favorable view towards MNS but not for your ridiculous fantasies of holding a Tanzanian graphite processing monopoly. MNS is no longer a mining company & one single bad gigafactory investment will destroy the company. in other words, you seem stuck in the past; still stuck in the childish infantile graphite wars on Hot Copper; without realising MNS is no longer a graphite company

if your & @kingofhell 's ideas about a SEZ monopoly came true, it would make Tanzania the laughing stock of the economic world

my point is the idea of @kingofhell is economically ridiculous. such ideas are for the most illogical & corrupt people. if this idea of @kingofhell came true then Tanzania would certainly became a Mugabe-like nation

in short, it makes no economic sense to shut out the other graphite companies. it is madness.
